Radio science fiction drama series containing different story in each episode. The stories were often based on the novels and short stories from well known authors, like Isaac Asimov, Robert Bloch (later famous for "Psycho"), Ray Bradbury (f.e. his famous "Mars Is Heaven" story or "Martian Chronicles"), Fredric Brown, Robert A. Heinlein, Murray Leinster, Frank M. Robinson, Clifford D. Simak, Jack Vance, Kurt Vonnegut, Jack Williamson and Donald A. Wollheim and also original scripts from Ernest Kinoy and George Lefferts, who were in-house script writers.
Dimension X was broadcasted between April 1950 and September 1951 and at that point very little radio science fiction shows appealed to the adult audience. Unfortunately in early 1950s radio in United States was already in state of decline losing to new medium - television. Great stories from great sci fi authors in radio gained that special element - in times of poor quality tv imagination and right sound effects built a memorable shows. Episodes of Dimension X are still available on Old Time Radio websites, so you can judge for yourself the quality of the original 1950 series.

There are areas on Earth where things happen that are escaping any logical explanation - tiny little crystals that are able to give energy to start the car, gravity traps that can kill or mutilate human being within second, unexplained phenomena inviting and dangerous at the same time.
