Comedy sci fi series surrounding the crew of delivery spaceship that do their job with a little skills, a lot of luck and some fun. Series developed by the creator of The Simpsons in many ways is similiar to famous cartoon series. The style, the humour, the unusual characters are similiar, but here with the help of 1000 years difference the creators were able to really spread their wings and devise the world filled with quite unusual adventures and characters, not to mention entire worlds with their own rules.
Is is great series, but with few quite important snags - first of all soon after the first series the crew makes almost no deliveries anywhere, so the scripts all take place in the New New York ans they seem more like classic sitcoms scripts than science fiction ones. And another thing - with all the universes available and whole population of the world the creators seem to be stuck with same set of 20-30 characters that keep popping up in most of the episodes and movies. And the last thing - the same problem that is present with the Simpsons - the series is running much longer than creators had ideas for and the stories became very repetitive (f.e. the moment that Fry got frozen in the criogenic machine was used at least 4 times in different configurations).
Overall good science fiction show, good comedy show, but creators might have used some new ideas.
