Strange virus attacks the human population around the world and turns people into zombies. But they are not the zombies that you may have seen in old movies that simply walk slowly and are completely dumb - within seconds from infection they gain the strength and agility of typical predators. What is more they tend to attack people and turn them into zombies, so pandemic of the virus is spreading very fast. United Nations employee Gerry Lane has to take his family out of New York in order to survive, which is tough in the city that sweped into chaos. But his next challenge will be much harder - he has to help the scientists find the way to stop the virus from spreading and later cure the people infected.
Another of zombie movies, this time with the different approach - this time it is global problem. Also this time the cause in viral, not extraterrestrial or supernatural, so the scientists are trying to find the way to fight it. But other than that it is just another movie with shooting zombies, clubbing zombies, axing zombies, etc. Some scenes were quite good, but a lot of them were too cheesy. Overall - nothing new and even a little bit disappointing.
