While the oil supply on Earth is about to extinct a bold plan is prepared to provide energy for the whole planet - particle accelerator called Shepard set aboard the orbital Cloverfield Station. The pressure is high - tensions between countries put the safety of all human kind in danger. International crew is set up to operate Shepard, but the hope that accompanied the first tests soon faded out since the accelerator was too unstable to run. The days went on, they months and years, but there was no progress in activating Shepard. The tensions between countries grew higher and higher while the crew aboard Cloverfield Station was getting more and more depressed. While some people were suspecting that Shepard may cause a Cloverfield Paradox, a portal between parallel universes, people aboard the station began to suspect a sabotage... After over two years next experiment finally activated Shepard, but when the accelerator reached half of the output power something went wrong. When crew stabilized the situation they notices that Earth has disappeared...

American sci-fi movie, for some completely insane reason and completely clumsy way, linked to previous films Cloverfield and 10 Cloverfield Lane, although it has not much to do with either of them. The story itself is a mixture of cliches and really, really uninteresting twists and subplots. Overall it is a below average (even way below average) sci-fi film that would need a lot of work and a lot of talent to be even slightly interesting. Very good cast was wasted on laughable story, not very inspired directing and really annoying obsession with linking movies that has nothing to do with each other into universum.
