Professor Kuppelweiser choses two volunteers for his experiment - he plans to hibernate two men for 3 years so he could test what influence it will have on their bodies and minds. This experiment will be vital for future space travel missions, so the whole experiments gathers large media coverage. Albert and Max wake up just as planned, but soon they discover not everything is how it was planned. Instead of giving interviews they are placed in a small cell and closely observed. Soon they discover that they were hibernated not planned 3 years, but 50 years. Also during a global conflict all men have died and now Albert and Max are the only male specimen on Earth. But the women, that are running the underground base where they are kept, are far from being happy to find any men alive...

Science fiction comedy from Juliusz Machulski offers rather simple story, but with great cast and good script it is one of the best Polish comedies. Also it presents the interesting point of view on matriarchy in the post-apocalyptic world, where women rewrite the history and even Nicolaus Copernicus was in fact a woman.
