During the construction of London Underground the mining machines find the underground cave. Young son of the foreman enters the cave only to find a strange creature inside. The creature is a dragon and kills the workers. Twenty years later this young boy is a leader of small community of survivors that are trying to stay alive in the world where dragons have dominated the skies and are preying on humans. The people are using the remainings of a medieval castle as their shelter since dragons are unable to harm them through walls. When their situation becomes critical due to poor harvests and the risk they have to take to gather them suddenly a group of dragon slayers arrive from America. Britons are skeptical, especially since they assume it is suicidal mission to fight the dragons. But Americans have helicopter, radars and other equipment that gives the chance to actually kill the beast. But their arrival isn?t complete accident - they have hidden plan.

Scifi movie about world dominated by dragons, who make people the endangered species. The massive beasts are completely out of reach after the decline of civilization - for the people who have problems even to survive it is simply impossible to build a weapon that could kill a dragon. At least until the Americans arrive (what a surprise), but since that point the post-apocalyptic world story changes into adventure.

Overall average movie with decent CGI, good cast and interesting script, but lacks something - the whole thing seems to be quite superficial and the last part of the movie is just a fairy tale.
