While travelling through the desert on a wagon drawn by camels Max is suddenly knocked to the ground by a flying machine. He tries to chase his wagon, but is unable to keep up. By following the wagon he reaches the Bartertown - a place where people from the whole area are coming to exchange goods. He has nothing to trade since his wagon was stolen, so he can enter only if he will agree to do something for Aunty Entity, who rules this town. She asks him to kill her biggest rival, known as Master Blaster. The easiest way to do it is to challenge him to a duel in Thunderdome, where there is only one rule - two men enter, one man leaves. But soon Max will discover that there is an oasis nearby that nest of filth and betrayal.

Third movie from Mad Max series presents yet another part of the post-apocalyptic world, this time a town in the middle of the desert and survivors from the "old world" that are hope to bring back the old values. Comparing to Mad Max 2 the plot is a bit more extensive - instead of simply the will to survive we have here a hope for future and sort of closure for the trilogy.
