In a land ruled by the King Bruno the Questionable everything was going great. Well, not great actually, just well. Well is perhaps a bit much, things were going ok. Some of the time... usually they were just going bad. But one day happened something that no one was prepared for - a dragon showed up and begun to attack the villagers and merchants. Poor and clumsy young cooper, named Dennis Cooper, left his father?s workshop and went to the king?s castle to seek a place to live. But the times were hard and not everyone was let to enter the town, even those who were lucky enough to live there were struggling to make a living. But Dennis was the chosen one. Well, not exactly chosen one, rather the one that was in a right time in a wrong place and soon will face the greatest danger - the dragon himself.

Fantasy movie by Terry Gilliam based on a Lewis Carroll?s poem "Jabberwocky". The film has all the typical elements from Gilliam?s style - unique visual style, grim atmosphere and equally dark humour. It is a witty look on the middle ages not like the Hollywood presents it, but rather down to earth hard look on the filthy town filled with deceitful and unfriendly people. But despite the unique style and humour of Gilliam the plot is somehow disappointing and overall it is only decent movie.
