Dr. Ryan Stone, a biomedical engineer, who is on her first space mission aboard shuttle Explorer, is servicing the Hubble Space Telescope during a spacewalk. The ground control orders the whole crew to break the spacewalk and return as fast as possible to Explorer. The reason is that Russians have lunched rocket to destroy their sattelite and after the explosion the debris will probably move towards the American shuttle. Withing minutes the debris hit Explorer destroying the superstructure and killing all the astronauts inside. Stone and veteran Matt Kowalski are left alone in the space with only slim chance to return to Earth.

Spectacular sci fi movie showing the real space exploration, where there is no artificial gravity, there are no sources of energy or oxygen outside the shuttle. We See inexperienced Ryan Stone and her veteran colleague trying to find the solution and survive. Really moving images and scenes that show how in seconds the Space can become the deadly opponent. The plot isn?t complexed and some elements are very similiar to f.e. Mission on Mars, but overall very memorable movie.
