Alexander Morris, soldier in General Custer?s unit during the Battle of Little Big Horn is wounded and when he is using his last bullets strange sphere appears next to him and a man in strange suit grabs him and next things he sees is laboratory, where he learns that organization called Kronotek is responsible for his rescue. But he wasn?t taken from the battlefield without a reason - Doctor Koell, founder of Kronotek, has gone missing and disturbances have started appearing through history. Few of the key people in history were put in danger due to those disturbances and it?s up to Morris and agent Dexter (who rescued him during the Little Big Horn battle) to fix those disturbances and restore the order of history.

Science fiction game that is mixture of first-person shooter and time travel story. As Morris we take part in the vital battles of American Civil War (Battle of Antietam) and World War 1 (Battle of Tannenberg) trying to save the two people who just can?t be killed. Also we have to avoid killing people marked by the blue glowing light around them, which makes the tasks even harder. If we would kill any of them the mysterious agents from future will show up and the troubles would just got worse.

Game made with decent effort, although creators didn?t avoid some major errors, biggest being placing mountains in the battles of Antietam or Tannenberg, which is far from reality. Darkest of Days offers the chance to see how the historical battles might have looked through the eyes of participant. Overall - not a materpiece, but quite entertaining.
