As a secret agent of Bureau of Astral Troubleshooters (B.A.T.) you are sent to a planet called Selenia. Earth through a dynamic growth is running out of resources important in space travel. It so happens that Selenia does have those resources, but is not really keen to share them, hence your presence on the planet. Since you are working undercover, you need to thread lightly wherever you go, and in B.A.T. there are quite few places you can go. You start in a spaceport just after the arrival to Selenia, soon you will stumble upon alien races, who speak in a languages you do not understand or will have to run from the law enforcement. Since it is a cyberpunk reality, you have cybernetic elements in you, which allow you to improve your skills with the progress in the story.

B.A.T. was quite unique project back in 1990, but even now can be quite impressive when you realize how many layers of stories you will stumble upon and how many options await you during your travel. There are NPC randomly spawned in public areas, you can interact with them, but in some cases you will also need to use force to stay alive. Even though it is a point-and-click game, the whole interface will surprise you - in most parts it looks more like a scifi comic book than a game, with new locations being shown in frames above the places you were before. The combat system was a weak point of the game, but apart from that B.A.T. was an ahead of its time. The cyberpunk style, unique atmopshere of being in a completely unknown place where you have to (at the beginning) guess what the rules are and how you should approach the NPCs or make a progress in the story.
