Strange events that took place around the world are worrying the scientists, especially the return of the planes from famout Flight 19 that was believed to be lost in Bermuda Triangle in 1945. The problem was that the planes without pilots were found in the middle of Sonoran Desert, tousands of miles and 30 years from the moment they have disappeared. Later they have found SS Cotopaxi, ship that disappeared in 1925, on the Gobi Desert, unidentified flying object almost crashed into an airplane. At the same time electrical lineman Roy Neary was checking chain of blackouts in his area when strange looking objects flying low over ground passed him leaving sunburns on half of his face. From that point he becomes obsessed with UFOs and strange shape that he can’t explain. The scientists receive strange signals from outer space that they believe could be coordinates to a place located on Earth.

Classic sci fi movie, one of the first to take a serious look on the phenomenon of UFO and all the strange events surrounding them. With interesting plot, good cast it is one of the science fiction movies that simply can’t be missed.
