In year 2055 company called Time Safari offers an unusual entertainment for reach clients - hunting real dinosaurs and not in the closed environment (like in Jurasic Park), those are real dinosaurs in their natural habitat. They achieed that level of service by travelling in time, together with their tourists, and hunting the dinosaurs in times when they were ruling the Earth. It’s complicated business, requires a lot of precision so none of the elements of the past would be changed. They actually hunt same dinosaur every time, but their clients don’t know that. Time Safari have prepared the special path that limits the area where the staff and tourists can walk - everything that takes place outside that path would mean messing with the time line and influence future. Sonia Rand, developer of the software that is used in the time maching voices her concerns that the risk of interfering with the time line is too big, but owners of Time Safari don’t really want to think about it. Next travel with tourists goes wrong - gun of one of the guards fails to go off and the dinosaur the tourist was suppose to kill breaks up the group and forces people to hide. They manage to kill the dinosaur and return to 2055, but the reality of that year has changed. They have to find out what happened during that travel that changed the time line.
Sci-fi movie based on Ray Bradbury short story that considers one of the biggest risks of what we see as time travel - the risk to change the future by making even small and seemingly change to past can change the future in a way that can’t be predicted. What is more if such change would take place it is even harder to predict if the attempts to fix the change we have made would not make the things worse. The film itself is unfortunately not very challenging - it is more of a action movie than real sci-fi, and what is more the action is not very impressive either.
